Savor

I blink and time flashes by.

One year ago... October 24, 2010

I wish I could pause these pockets of time that inspire me to breathe deeply and smile.

With threats of frost in the weather forecast, we gathered the last of the fresh produce.

As I wrapped each green tomato in newspaper, I thought about how we would enjoy them in the coming weeks.

Of course we stopped the picking long enough to savor one more cherry tomato.

That has become a big part of my life - savoring each second between the difficult times.

...the cherry tomatoes, the squeals of joy over baseball, the favorite book read over and over and over again, the looks from my non-verbal son that his family alone can interpret...

That's why I love photography.

It allows me to wrap up the beautiful moments so we can enjoy them for years to come.

They are definitely worth savoring.

What are some moments you savor?
